Product, campaign concept, visuals, process film and advertisement content
May 2024
Founded in 2053, the Bliss Bowl is crafted from ceramic and hardwood to evoke a reverence for food and foster an elevated connection between people and their meals. Containing only essentials: three bowls, one serving plate, and one set of chopsticks, customers are guaranteed an intentional relationship with their food. These dishes are a testament to a future where food is more than sustenance; it's a source of nourishment for the body and soul. In a world where the communal spirit of breaking bread has all but been replaced, you don’t have to be disconnected.

The product
As the pace of life quickens with each passing day, sharing or creating a meal has become a rare and fleeting event. Bliss Bowl aims to reclaim the intimate and meaningful dining experience by combining traditional craftsmanship with futuristic technology.

Project brief
Designing a product alongside a process or system to be sold in a speculative Jame’ya (traditional supermarket) of the Future. Generating a campaign to establish a position based on future signals and trends. Present materials in a final exhibition of a future Jame'ya at New York University Abu Dhabi.

My Proposal
A dishkit that addresses consumer disconnect through aesthetic and technological research. 3D renderings through Autodesk Fusion. A prototype with a 3D printed base and handcarved mahogany lid. A promotional video that highlights important features.

Sustainable design
Keeping in line with the philosophy of the project, the assembly of the AlWadi desert pack is easily automated. Caring for a AlWadi pack is just as easy, as all parts can be mended, replaced or patched. That's why no major component is dependent through adhesion or permanent connection to any other piece. It's all outlined in the AlWadi Assembly manual.
