Based on the concept of "Precious Plastic," the ALWADI desert pack is a product developed to celebrate the durability and longevity of plastics by turning discarded single-use and pre-loved plastics into a one of a kind pack that can last any number of adventures. With the support of NYU Abu Dhabi's plastic recycling lab, I created the design, built the prototype, designed the assembly protocol, and built a creative campaign.

A pack that provides easy access to your everyday essentials in every environment. Creative direction that challenges cheap stereotypes of plastics. Document the manufacturing process and present it to display the transparency of the process. Create visuals that celebrate the functionality and style of the AlWadi pack.

Keeping in line with the philosophy of the project, the assembly of the AlWadi desert pack is easily automated. Caring for a AlWadi pack is just as easy, as all parts can be mended, replaced or patched. That's why no major component is dependent through adhesion or permanent connection to any other piece. It's all outlined in the AlWadi Assembly manual.
